Dear Dennis,
Kathy and I want to thank you again for everything you did to help us complete the purchase of our boat. Even though it ran into several months and we had many stumbling blocks along the way, you were always optimistic, able to find or create a solution, and never gave up or got discouraged.
We found you and your company to be very honest and professional, especially when the boat did not turn out to be what we had all expected. Even though the boat was over 1200 miles away when we closed, we did not have any reservations or concerns because of our previous dealings with you. We knew you would take care of her for us.
Now, several hurricanes later, Bob Allred from S & K Yacht Services has finally been able to deliver our boat to us in perfect condition as you both had promised. Everything went as planned and this last Friday, December 10th, our boat got its first taste of saltwater in Fort Lauderdale. We are very anxious to use her.
If you have time on your travels to our area, we would enjoy the chance to get together. You have truly made a dream come true.
| | Dale & Kathryn Bowes | We would like to recommend Ozark Yacht Brokers Inc., Captain Jay Clark and Dennis Barnes, to anyone selling or buying a boat. Jay listed our Sea Ray 370 Sun Sport in March and Dennis had the boat and lift sold by Memorial Day weekend. They got us a very fair price for the boat and the sale was handled quickly and professionally. Then Jay searched out our dreamboat, a 1998 Sea Ray 450 Sundancer, located in Michigan. He negotiated a great price for us and then traveled with our family to inspect and sea trial our new boat. He handled every aspect of the purchase including arranging financing, documentation, warranty transfer and transportation to the lake. He then saw to every detail in making the boat like new. Jay’s dedication to customer service and satisfaction is unmatched in any salesperson we have ever encountered. His knowledge, experience and professionalism are a great source of comfort and confidence to first time yacht buyers. In our opinion these two gentlemen are the greatest and we wish them all the success they deserve.
| | Tom and Karen Fischer | Dear Dennis,
I wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much we appreciate everything you and your team did to sell our boat. With us living in Omaha and our boat being at the Lake of the Ozarks, it was very important to us that we worked with a broker who was not only knowledgeable, but motivated and available to us by phone if needed. We found all of these qualities in you and your team. We can\'t express enough how easy you made this for us. Your service and professionalism is invaluable. You came highly recommended to us and we plan to carry on the message. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
We have recently moved to a lake-front property, outside Omaha. When we go to look for a boat, you can count on hearing from us.
Thank you, Dennis.
Best regards,
Toby and Lisa Wilsey
| | Toby & Lisa Wilsey | Dennis and Jay,
We wanted to say a special thank you to both of you for your great help taking care of all the details so our new boat could come to us. It was an exciting sight as it came across the bridge here at Lake Perry. You were right Dennis, it did look like new and the name on the back, well we just \"Luv It\". And what a nice gesture in sending us the two bottles of wine. We\'re going to plan a cruise with friends and family to share and enjoy. Thanks again, and if we know of someone looking for a boat, we\'ll certtainly send them your way.
| | Howard and Judy Alexander | A note from Kevin Entwistle of St. Louis, MO who purchased a 1996 Cobalt 232 from Dennis and then listed his 1995 Chaparral 1930 with Dennis who sold it in 20 days.
Dennis,
Thanks for the update! I too must pass along thanks to you. Our buying/selling experience with you was a pleasure. No pressure, no hassle. By far, the easiest way to purchase and sell a boat. When we get hit with the \"four-foot-itis\" bug again, I\'ll be calling you.
| | Kevin Entwistle | From a "Thank you" card from Don and June Morgan, Of Scottsdale, AZ, purchasers of a 1988 Sea Ray 390 Express.
We want to let you know how we feel about your broker, Dennis Barnes. It has been our pleasure to have been treated over and above what would be expected of a broker. All the kindness, extra help with phone calls, boat cleaning and even taking care of the holding tank ! What a treasure you have ! I am in sales and I know that little extra makes all the difference and Dennis is living proof that the little things do mean a lot. We will speak of you all whenever we can and send business because we know you treat people right. Again our warmest thanks for helping us out of towners when you went above and beyond your job. When it comes time for the next big boat step- Dennis will be first on our list !
| | June and Don Morgan | This letter just confirms that I wish the new company, which is called, Ozark Yacht Brokers, Inc., good luck. I have known Captain Jay Clark for many years, going back to when he was with the Lodge of Four Seasons Marina from 1989 to 1997. I have known Dennis Barnes for the last three years or so. I feel that both of these gentlemen are extremely honest people and I consider that a very important attribute when someone is buying a boat. I have also been very impressed with how thorough they are in details of any boat that they are selling. With the kind of experience that these gentlemen and the knowledge that they have concerning boats, I am sure that they will do well.
| | Carl F. Bolz Marine Surveyor CJB, Inc., Bolz and B | Hello Dennis, How have you been, hope you had a great summer. I finally bought a boat, a 1990 31' Scarab Excel. It is really pristine. Dennis, sorry we couldn't strike a deal on the Formula, it was beautiful. The broker I dealt with on my boat didn't come close to your professionalism or integrity.
| | Brian Thomas | Dear Jay,
Kelly and I can't thank you enough for helping make the summer of 2000 one of the most fun seasons we have had. Your expertise in yachts gave us the confidence that our first yacht, a 1999 40ft. Sea Ray Sundancer, was the right choice for us. Even though this is my fourth boat, there is a big difference in runabouts and yachts. Your knowledge and experience, as a captain, made every aspect of selecting, purchasing, and operating a yacht a pleasure. Your dedication to customer satisfaction is unmatched by any sales person I have encountered. I believe the one thing that sets you apart from most is your love for what you do.
| | John and Kelly Whicker | Yes, I did receive the information and thank you for it. Also, I would like to congratulate you on your excellent business and sales skills. You were the only person to respond to my inquiries and you provided information relevant to my request. Please be assured I have saved your email and should our interest to purchase a new boat in the spring continue, you will be the first person I contact. Thank you for your courtesy and professionalism.
| | Gary Shull | This letter is to thank you for the great work you have done for us over the past year and a half. Through your market insight and diligent efforts, you’ve arranged the successful sale of two of our boats, while simultaneously locating our “dream boat”. Not only did you locate exactly what we wanted, you were able to negotiate a great price, while making sure our current boat sold at a substantial profit. You were professional, thorough, and considerate during the entire process, and have clearly earned our continued loyalty. Thank you for your hard work. My brothers and I look forward to seeing you at the lake.
| | Greg Nobrega | Why would a Michigan family buy a boat sight unseen from a Missouri yacht broker? Lots of people asked me that question when I bought my boat in 1999. But Dennis Barnes made the experience simple and fun. Dennis emailed me dozens of digital photographs. He helped me find a great surveyor that faxed a detailed marine inspection of my almost new Silverton 372. He arranged a February sea-trial and showed me how to run my new boat. Dennis even arranged for a great vacation get-away on the boat and found a transport company that shipped my boat to Michigan. My only regret is that I couldn't spend more time in Missouri with my boat. All in all a great experience.
| | Damian Porcari | I wanted to drop you a note and let you know how easy you made the whole experience of buying a boat. Thanks to your ability to find the perfect boat as well as your service after the sale, I’m convinced we’ll do business once again. After visiting the boat show this year, I’ve already got “two foot fever” and I’m sure I’ll be contacting you soon.
| | Tim Fetter | Jay! Wanted to thank you for everything you and Dennis did. It really was a pleasure working with you. You did everything you said you were going to do and more. Being a former car salesman, I am very impressed with your operation and attitude. Rest assured, any and all people I run into looking to buy or sell, I will steer them your way. Randy Phillips; Seller of 1992 Sea Ray 220

Jay:
I am writing this to tell you what a great experience it was dealing with Ozark Yacht Brokers.
From our first conversation it was a pleasure. You represented the vessel accurately, gave detailed information on the sea trial and made sure all questions were answered so that I could make an informed decision to purchase the vessel. Knowing that I was dealing with a time line, you facilitated the survey process and documentation process as needed and even contacted a professional hauler to transport the vessel to destination. Having you travel to the launching site for delivery was a bonus. You took the time to make sure the boat would arrive safely and detailed every step. Finally, on the day of the launch, you stayed with me to answer more questions and would not leave as long as I needed help. You displayed professionalism beyond anything typical in today’s business environment.
I did receive a survey card which asked me to describe my dealings with Ozark Yacht Brokers. However, I felt the need to write about my experience instead.
If you ever need a reference, feel free to use me. As you’ve always said “ I’m here to help”.
Thanks again, you definitely have earned the title Captain.
