Tiara Yachts Information

Where are Tiara Yachts built?
The entire Tiara Yachts line is now built in their Holland, MI plant.

Who owns Tiara Yachts?
Tiara Yachts and Pursuit Boats are owned by S2 Yachts Inc. S2 Yachts Inc. is wholly owned by the Leon Slikker's family. This is the same family that began the Slickcraft Boats back in the 1950's. Currently three generations of the Slikker's family are building both Tiara Yachts and Pursuit Boats.

Tiara's always seem bigger than their size. Why is this?
Tiara Yachts are very conservative in the way they measure their boats. Their measurement only included from the transom to the stem.

They do not include the swim platform or the bow pulpit in their measurements. They are also very beamy boat. This dramatically adds to the overall square footage of the boat. For example Tiara's 3600 Sovran is 41' 8" when you include the swim platform and the bow pulpit and the boat has a beam of 13' . This boat is larger than most 40' models of other manufacturers'.

What is the difference between an Open series and a Sovran series in the Tiara product line?
Tiara Yachts first model was a 3100 Open. For many years to follow they only built the Open Series. The Open Series is a direct drive inboard boat with a large cockpit that can be outfitted for cruising, fishing or a combination of both. Many prospective customers wanted the quality of a Tiara Yacht, however, they wanted a larger interior salon and staterooms with more cruising options. Tiara responded with their Sovran Series. The Sovran Series features a V drive system that allows for a larger cabin. The Sovran Series also offers tremendous storage for cruising including a hydraulic storage trunk off of the swim platform.
